The Chloride Serpent was found in the Cerbat Mountains east of what is now Chloride. The scientific name is Reptilius Cerbatus and it roamed this area 68 million years ago. Reptilius Cerbatus when full grown could reach 10 to 15 meters in length. The habitat for Reptilius Cerbatus was marshes or shallow lakes. It fed on fish and water plants. It became extinct when the lakes and marshes of the area dried up and the climate began to cool. Subsequently the area that was a lake bed rose up and became mountain sides with the shifting of the tectonic plates of the area. Come see it at Van Meter's Silversmithing |
